Bulk numbers & voicemail

Whole ranges of numbers. Every one takes a message.

OVOKY allocates ranges of numbers to your subscription for every site, brand or client you run, and each one takes a message from the first day. Send them to your PBX when you are ready. If your PBX stops answering, voicemail picks up instead.

how it works

Hold whole ranges of numbers with voicemail on every line from day one, then send them to your PBX when ready.

  1. Allocation

Numbers are allocated to your subscription in prefix ranges. Until you route them elsewhere, each number answers with a greeting that reads the number aloud, so callers know they reached the right line, and takes a message.

    • Ranges allocated to your subscription by prefix
    • Voicemail on every number by default
    • Default greeting reads the number aloud
    • Last call date shown for every number
  2. Routing

Select numbers one by one, by prefix or all at once and point them at your PBX by IP address and port. If your PBX can't be reached, callers get voicemail instead of a dead line.

    • Bulk routing to your PBX by IP address and port
    • Voicemail fallback when your PBX is unreachable
    • Select by prefix, by hand or all at once
    • Copy or export numbers with the country code and no plus sign
  3. Greetings

Write a greeting and have it spoken by text-to-speech, or upload a WAV or MP3 file. Assign it to selected numbers or to all of them, and set how long callers can speak.

    • Text-to-speech or uploaded greetings
    • Assign to a selection or to every number
    • Maximum message length per greeting
    • Remove a greeting and its numbers go back to reading the number aloud
  4. Inbox and screening

Messages left on any of your numbers, across all your subscriptions, land in one voicemail inbox. AI screening flags callers who ask not to be called again and abusive callers, and adds them to a do-not-call blocklist.

    • Account-wide inbox with search and an unread filter
    • Messages kept for 15 days, then deleted automatically
    • Opt-out and abusive callers flagged by AI screening
    • Flagged callers added to a do-not-call blocklist

Bulk numbers & voicemail: questions

Short answers to what teams ask us most. Something else on your mind? Talk to us

  • Bulk numbers are ranges of phone numbers allocated to a subscription instead of bought one by one. They suit businesses that need many numbers at once, such as multi-site companies, agencies and teams that run their own PBX.

  • The call goes to voicemail. With no greeting assigned, the number is read aloud so the caller knows they reached the right line, then they can leave a message.

  • Numbers sent to your PBX keep voicemail as a fallback. If the PBX can't be reached, callers leave a message in your OVOKY voicemail inbox instead of hitting a dead line.

  • 15 days, then they are deleted automatically. Voicemail email notifications are not offered, so messages are read in the OVOKY voicemail inbox.

  • OVOKY analyzes the voicemails left on your bulk numbers for opt-out requests and abusive callers. Flagged callers are added to a do-not-call blocklist automatically and listed for your review. Callers who withhold their number can be flagged but not blocked.
